San Jorge Islands

 Location

This group of islands is located outside San Jorge Bay of, near Puerto Peñasco.

 History
The San Jorge Islands were decreed Federal Reserved Areas due to their biological importance as a shelter for Migratory birds and Wild Fauna in 1978.
These islands are of great tourist attraction, mainly for the different species of birds that can be found here, such as: Tropical birds, marine swallow, very elegant, seagulls and more. Also there are great herds of sea lions, one of the biggest colony.

These waters are excellent places for water sports and underwater snorkeling, thanks to the great marine variety. It is also recommended to watch the different birds and other animals found in our region.
