The International Carnival of Puerto Peñasco is a traditional event that takes place during February’s second fortnight. The activities start with a queen’s election and coronation, and a parade with allegoric cars. The carnival is enriched by popular fairs, athletic games, fireworks, fair games, and a popular market.

The International Jazz Festival is celebrated annually, in the first fortnight of May and October; in which musicians from all over México, United States, and Canada participate. During the days the event lasts, several activities take place such as: folkloric dances and singer and music bands’ presentations.
